Before I learned Korean or English, art was my native language. A skill cultivated before I could walk, art gave shape to the intangible. What started as scribbling on walls transformed into perfecting cross-hatches on intricate charcoal portraits. Visual art allows me to express layers of thoughts and feelings that I struggle to communicate otherwise. Where words and grammar often fail, mediums of acrylic and charcoal become my voice. Now, as I continue to create, art has emerged as a way of challenging expectations and rewriting the standard through my own imagination.
